History of Wicks Trading Post,
and
our Farm.
Our farm 36 miles of Joplin,
Montana
(Population 200) was homesteaded in 1913 by my Grandfather, we are the
third generation to live on our combination, farm / ranch. We raise
sheep,
wheat, and kids. We have most of the farm in the government
Conservation
Reserve Program (CRP) waiting for times to get better in farming. I
(Mark)
started the trading post, while I was going to school at Montana State
Univ. I found myself with too many toys (guns) and not enough money for
college. So I started traveling the Pacific Northwest to gun shows. We
did
that for several years until the economy in Montana became so poor,
that
the gun shows would not pay. It was at this time that we decided to
liquidate
our leftovers on the internet, and found our niche on the net. We found
that our commitment to honesty, reasonable prices, and prompt shipping,
has made us a popular seller on the internet. Our Ebay feedback from
happy
customers is a testament to our commitment to you the buyer.
